In this episode, we meet F.J Thomas an author, horsewoman and healthcare worker. F.J shares her journey towards a healthier lifestyle where her choices have made a profound difference on not just her physical, but mental health as well. A cowgirl at heart, F.J. Thomas resides in east Tennessee on a horse farm with a menagerie of horses, cats, and dogs. Working full time in the healthcare industry, F.J. spends the rest of her time judging open horse shows and competing in anything from hunt seat to barrel racing and ranch events every chance she gets. A multi-genre author, F.J. started writing in high school and never looked back. A romance and short story author with Solstice Publishing, she has a new children's book releasing in 2016 under the name Jewel Thomas and has written articles that have appeared in America's Horse, Horse & Ranch Magazine, and Hoofbeats. In addition to writing and riding, F.J. also founded Cowgirls With Curves. Her real life pursuit of the cowgirl lifestyle has provided plenty of first-hand experience and inspiration for writing.
